You can still apply to become a Raise Youth Mentor in 2026, and we welcome applications all year round in preparation for our forthcoming programs.

We’ll provide you with our best-practice youth mentor training to ensure you're equipped with the tools you need to support a young person. Once trained, you'll be matched with a mentee in a program convenient to you. With full support from a Raise Program Counsellor, you'll meet weekly with your mentee — offering them your time, your ear, and your encouragement. Curious about where you can mentor? Mandatory checks

Do you have a valid Working with Children Check and a Police Check that's less than 3 years old?

Note: If you don't have both these checks yet, you will be supported by our Volunteer Engagement Team on how to apply. Both checks are required and can be provided separately. You can continue to submit the form.

When using our partner, new Police Checks cost $23.10. WWCC or WWVP checks are free for volunteers in NSW, QLD, SA, VIC and ACT. The cost in WA is $11 and in TAS $22.44.
