Volunteer as an in-school mentor
Mentor in one (or more) of our in-school programs and change the lives of young people... and possibly your own.
We couldn’t deliver our programs and support young people without the dedicated support of our volunteers. From our volunteer mentors meeting with young people each week, to our community fundraisers and specialist volunteers supporting on projects, to the people raising awareness of Raise in their local communities. Every hour given makes a difference to teens across Australia.
But, we know it also benefits the volunteer personally, their local community and wider society. Volunteering Australia found that people who volunteer have improved psychological wellbeing, self-esteem, happiness, and satisfaction with life. It also creates a positive ripple effect. We know from our evaluations that volunteering gives people a sense of contributing to their community.
As a Raise mentor either in schools or online through Raise Digital, you have the power to change a young person’s life. Many of our mentors return year after year to support young people and reap the benefits for themselves as well.
We’ve already trained over 10,000 volunteers through our industry-leading mentor training to mentor young people and change lives.

Support young people who can’t access our in-person, in-school programs through our online mentoring programs.
If you’re already an experienced in-school mentor, you can mentor in-school again, do our short additional training to become a Raise Digital online mentor, or both.
We have been generously supported by businesses who enable their staff to mentor. It’s a great way to build additional skills which translateto and benefit the workplace.
We know that sometimes mentoring isn’t the right fit for a variety of reasons, but if you’d like to support the work of Raise in your local community we’re always looking for people to help raise awareness of our programs.
