“It has helped me to talk more about how I am feeling, I feel like I can talk about not being okay”
Life doesn’t come with an instruction manual, so how do you work out how to get through it?
Bullying, loneliness, anxiety, problems at school, problems at home, problems with friends. The list of things to navigate and ‘solve’ can seem endless.
Believe it or not, you have it within you to find your way through and thrive – no matter who you are or what you’re facing. You just need the right support.
Raise youth mentoring provides you with an expertly trained, independent adult called a mentor, who supports you to uncover and nurture your individual strengths.
Together you’ll work through the Raise program and explore ways you can feel more confident, find the outside help you need, feel a sense of belonging, and feel a sense of hope for the future. You choose what you’ll explore each time you meet and you set the pace.
The skills you develop will support you throughout your life. You’ll feel better able to face whatever life throws at you and thrive.
While all of our programs are supported by a professionally trained Counsellor, this isn’t counselling. It is a safe space where you get to be seen for who truly are, actively listened to, and supported to confidently show up as the real, one and only, you.
This might feel like something new and unknown, and may even feel a little scary, but more than 16,000 young people, between the ages of 13 and 16, have gone through a Raise mentoring program, and they’re glad they did.
“It has helped me to talk more about how I am feeling, I feel like I can talk about not being okay”
“It helps me think more positively about myself and gives me more confidence”
“I had problem with my body image and my mentor taught me that I have to love myself”
“It has helped me learn that there is always an answer and I can fix it and I know how to ask for help when I need it”
“It made me feel like I have a purpose in life”
“My mentor has shown me it’s okay to be myself”
Your mentor is someone who truly cares. They’ve volunteered their time, so they wouldn’t be there if they didn’t want to meet and support the real you. And they will show up, every week, whether it is for the 10-week, 17-week or 20-week program. In person, or online.
If you've been invited to take part in your school’s Raise program, get more info.
If you want to find out more or apply to get support from a Raise mentor online, you can apply to join a Raise Digital online program. It’s free, confidential and may even be life changing.
